Question

PC constantly reboots except in safe mode, need help!

Aug 7, 2018 3:20PM PDT

I have a decent gaming pc I've had for roughly 7-8 years making some changes along the way and last December or so it started this thing where it would restart once or twice(but no more than 2) when turning it on or taking it out sleep mode but now it's at the point where it will consistently reboot itself unless I can manage to get it into safe mode which is odd. I have a friend who actually built it for me looking at it but having trouble figuring it out. We tried to reinstall windows but the pc will restart before it gets a chance to load the CD. I could really use a helping hand to point my friend in the right direction. Please

Unplug all the disk and see if it will boot from disc.

If not unplug the disc unit and connect just the boot disk.

Good idea to check if something is wrong with the HDD. But it won't help to reinstall Windows. You need a hard disk for that.
