PC card socket not installed-older laptop('98)

Toshiba Tecra 500 cdt,Windows 98,I exchanged my new pc card for another new PC card,still can't get wizard to detect.In control panel,under system properties-performance-PC cards-No pc card socketts installed.How do I install socket for pc card?

From memory, that has PCMCIA and not PC-Card.

You can't use or install PC-Card capability in that machine. There is no known method to add PC-Card to older laptops.

-> Too bad you didn't tell what card you were looking for. Sometimes the forum can help except in the case of USB 2.0 PCMCIA cards (something that does not exist.)

From memory, there are 100BT PCMCIA cards.
