pc cannot login after accidently disable system restore

can somebody help me solve this problem some of my friend encountering this problem the pc cannot enter windows after their disable system restore for drive c: (this partition have windows xp system)can someone give me a hint on how to recover this problem i appreciate all the help that i can get since this has been confusing me for 2 week

Which OS?

Do you have the XP CD (and which one?)

Is it a PASSWORD PROBLEM? (Tip: NTPASSWD can fix that from google.com)

thank for asking this is the spec pentium 4 2.8ghz ,
ram 256 mb, hdd 120gb, windows xp sp2 the problem is when i try to login its suddenly log off right after i click logon

Try safe mode, that administrator account and research about NTPASSWD.

thank bob i do just as you say but the result still same just like the previous problem the matter is even the admin user also cannot login too

can i reinstall windows xp because it a pain but how to recover any file or data that harddisk this is my suggestion only but if you have any feel free to give any suggestion ill try any other method

yeah i try the safe mode method

thank for your reply this is happening when i try to login with admin pass after i click administrator it enter the windows for around 10 seconds but then it immediately go back to windows logon screen so how supposed to search ntpassword with the limited time because all logon are the same as admin problem and the computer didnot have any logon password
