I don't know much about computers but I have a GeForce gtx 1080 and a Intel core i7-8700k CPU 3.70ghz and 16 GB of RAM with a cheap monitor that has a hdmi which is plugged into my graphics card that converts into a dvi to plug into my monitor that is 1920 x 1080, 60hz . And when I play games for example Apex Legends I have all my setting on low and it feels choppy to run and I tried every setting and every combination possible and no fix. Could it be my performance is being affected because the hdmi is trying to convert into dvi and impacting my performance or is my rig simply not good enough. Even though I play low on every setting and I have to turn anti aliasing on to make the movement on my screen smoother. In my geoforce experience settings it recommends I use high on every setting yet I can barely can do low. Please help.
