Question

Paste Hyperlink into Chrome?

Nov 22, 2013 2:34AM PST

Finally just learned how to make a hyperlink in my Word97 doc. But when I c/p to Chome it doesn't copy as a link. It does when I paste into IE. Is there a setting in Chrome to check?

I can't see what you are doing but when I past some URL (hyperlink) to Chrome's address bar it's fine here.

I would have to "Turn visual editor ON" and the past would have to include the BBS code you can read up on at http://forums.cnet.com/forums-FAQ/

However, many tech heads like to see the http URL so they can decide if it's OK to click on.

So where would this take you to? -> Dr. Who <-

You may lose some folk clicking on those blue things because they are properly scared of bad links.

I use Word97. I can not copy and paste (ctrl+insert and ctrl+v) either formatting or hyperlinks from my doc to an answer box on the forums I use every day using Chrome. But it works if I use IE. I guess Word97 doesn't play nice with Chrome. Could there be an add-on I need for Chrome?

Like see this paste, the word "Note:" should come out Bold (it does in IE)
