Password protect external drive

Hi,

I need an application that can password protect my external hard drives (USB etc.). I've been searching but haven't come across anything that looks decent and is free.

Could anyone recommend one please?

Thanks.

Having just helped another buddy recover from EFS

I wonder if more locking is required beyond NTFS permissions.

They almost lost everything on the external and would have if they had used truecrypt. Now they learned their lesson and will go with light protection like NTFS offers.

Thanks for the suggestion Bob.

But, if my USB is taken to another computer will the permission stay?

Cheers.

usb drive protection

yeah, i just downloaded USB Secure and tried to protect my USB flash drive It is very easy to use, install quickly without any trouble and doing its job perfectly well. I also tried it on my memory stick and got 100% result i.e complete security. I think you should also use this little software to protect your external drives.

Thanks
