password problem

Somehow my password got messed up and I could not log-in to the C-NET forums. (user name, bently)

Tried FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD about a dozen times past 2 days and never did get a response. ''HELP'' did not help!!!

I finally had to set up a NEW EMAIL ACCOUNT to get back on.

Isn't there a simpler way to contact you when the password problem blocks you?

I had the box ''Remember Me'' checked and my password was saved by PASSWORD MANAGER so I don't see how you could have gotten the wrong password.

I manually typed in email address and password and the password not accepted.

I really would appreciate a response to this.

You have my email address on file if you woud email a reply it would be great.

It could be either corrupt or rejected by your browser settings. Sometimes deleting cookies is necessary. For CNet, you'd still need to have remembered your user/password to login for the first time and recreate the cookie. Depending on your browser, you can determine how cookies are handled. I use Firefox and have only a limited number of sites which I allow cookies to be stored. The rest are either rejected immediately or deleted when the browser is closed.

Thanks Steven,

I tried deleting all cookies, allowing all cookies rebooting. That did not help.

Finally got email from C-NET and they fixed the password problem.
