Password LOST

by rod10010 / October 26, 2004 6:10 AM PDT

I was trying to reconnect a PC to our server and somehow inadvertantly re-set the Windows password. I've tried every combination possible and no go. The only data I will lose is e-mail as my documents are all stored. But I'd prefer to not lose the e-mails as they have several resumes for jobs I need to fill.

Is there a way around the password or do I have to re-install Windows? (Windows 2000 Professional)

Thanks for any help!

Answer some questions first please to start with.

Is the computer with the forgotten password the server or the workstation?

Which OS?

If it's a workstation is it a notebook?

Log onto the server as Administrator, go to Client Services and reset the password on the other system.
