hey, is there any programs or feature for windows XP that allows me to put a password on my private folders so that peole who get on my computer cant acess them. (i only have this one user name so i want to know if theres any for just one user)

if you use the help and support feature built into xp click on security you will find your answer

Start> Help and Support (big blue circle with question mark) - search for "private folders"

By one user, do you mean everyone is using the administrator account? If you're the owner of the PC, you (and only you) should use that account and even then, not for everyday use. Create non-admin accounts for day-to-day use and the files in "My Documents" for each account can be private. I believe the administrator account has access to all files.

um yes we all use the administrtor account... thanks for all the help i will have to play with making new users etc
