Passport Question

I recently purchased a WD Passport 320 GB EHD to backup both of my computers. I use the WDSync software that came with it to store and sync my files, browser favorites, and Outlook info. I also store my Ghost backups for both machines on it. I figured that when I upgrade to a new machine(s) I'd simply upload all my files, favorites, etc. from the Passport to the new machine, but it appears that the two profiles I've created in WDSync will only share information with the respective machine; I can't even drag and drop files from it to the opposite machine. Is there anyway to get around this hurdle or not. Thanks.
