Pasasonic PV_GS500 External Mic

by karinek / December 19, 2007 1:09 AM PST

I just purchased the external mic that attaches to the Panasonic PV_GS500 VW-MH3. I tested the sound by taping my husband speaking with and without the mic. It sounded a lot louder and clearer without the mic. Am I using this mic incorrectly? Does anyone have any experiance with this mic?

I have not used that mic, though it seems

very straightforward.

1) How far away was your husband when you taped him - and his audio?

2) What mode (switch on the mic) were you in? There are three modes (zoom, tele, wide). Have you tried all three?

this is an interesting read/review about your mic.

At worst, that external mic should be getting at least the same levels of audio as the built-in mics - perhaps even louder audio (and less hiss than the internals). It is also possible that it *might* be a faulty unit.

I was about 6 feet away in zoom mode.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
