For Windows the paging file discussion went on for quite some time. Today you can still start up a debate but the brutal truth is a partition would have to be ideally located in the center of the drive to come close to how well it works when you let Windows manage the paging file.
Don't fall for such performance tweaks without more research.

Hey,
I am trying to create a new partition for my hard drive to store paging files. This should in theory speed up my system. I go into Disk Management (the program)
- Shrink volume, 4000 MB
- It then says I have 3.91 GB unallocated
- Right click, 'New simple volume'
- Follow instructions
What happens every time is that it says :
'There is not enough space available on the disk(s)to complete this operation'..
Does any1 know why that is??
Thanks for any help in advance!
