Partition Magic 8.x Manual Uninstal

by Capricornius / September 26, 2004 12:08 AM PDT

Have used Partition Magic for long time and it is great .....but ....

Wiped out installed program files by mistake. On instal the S/W detects an older version of PM 8.x and aborts.

Could not Uninstal using Windows Add / Remove.

Searched and destroyed all I could safely find using regedit. Still some remnants of the program are there.

Can anyone help?

you will need to contact PowerQuest and see what they have to say. i would guess that all registry keys under Powerquest have to go, but there will be other things installed into the registry too.

Thanks Herb. I did that and up to now they have been unable to help me.

My PC guru son is visiting for Thanksgiving - Maybe he will find a way.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
