Although the C partition contains the OS, by default all applications and data are also written to it. The D partition is usually your Recovery partition, and sized less than 15GB. As it's purpose is for a total re-install to factory new OS, it is never supposed to be used for (1) applications or data, (2) restore points.
I have a Inspirion 1764. I did not know the hard drive was partioned. After adding some programs I discovered evreything went to the to OS(C) Drive and not the :Local Disk (D) drive. I would like to know if I uninstalled and then tried to reinstall, how would I go about it. Thanks for any help
