While HTTP 1.1 supports file download resuming, it tends to be a bit spotty. Internet Explorer seems to fail on any non-IIS web server, and Firefox is better than that, but not 100%.
This is one of the rare cases where download manager programs are useful. Or, if you can download the file via FTP, just about any FTP program should support file resuming.
I am trying to install a large file, and i keep getting close to the end and my internet connection will fail. It will only download part of the file. I have tried several times and each try lasts about 3-4 hours. Last time i got 93% complete of a 221Mb file is there a way to download the rest of the file or do i have to start the download over again.
