You would have thought

that the uber rich parents of these kind of offspring would have raised their children (knowing that they would never have to work in their life) so that they would have developed a sense of worth and responsibility and have interests in something greater than getting high and getting laid.

The ridiculous thing is
May 5, 2007 10:44AM PDT

what Paris' attorney said on the steps to the courthouse... that this ruling was a tragic violation of our legal system.
Well, he must be referring to the separate legal system that those in Hollywood (OJ!) and Washington (this gun... nah, this isn't a gun!) are subject to. I know that the legal system that rules the rest of us would have dealt with Miss Hilton more severely.
My question is: Will she have access to pedicures and manicures while in jail?

Her Company

MSO, ticker for her company. It took a huge hit when she went to jail. It's still a favorite target of "shorters" who try to keep the value hammered down. Can you look at this chart and tell when her problems began and when they ended, or at least she went back to work?

If not, maybe this wiki timeline can help compare.

She has started the appeal processes and she apparently wants Governor Schwarzenegger to pardon her, calling her sentence "cruel and unfair"

They're picking on her. Notice that she doesn't say the conviction is unfair; she just wants to get out of the consequences.

How dare that court....
May 10, 2007 11:03PM PDT

...treat her like an ordinary citizen!

A line from "Private Benjamin" comes to mind -- when they were handing out uniforms and she asked, in an irritated tone, "Do these come in any other color besides green?"

publicist for telling her she could drive. Newspaper comic Argus Hamilton said, "Under California law, if you don't have a publicist the court will provide one for you."
