Tantrums should never be rewarded

Not limited to government at all
Sep 5, 2018 2:14AM PDT

Children throw tantrums and adults too often give in just to stop the noise. Those children grow up learning that tantrums can lead to their reward more quickly and with less effort than reasoned discussion. We have adults throwing tantrums all-the-while criticizing the president for childish behavior. I don't know whether to laugh or cry when seeing this irony.

Those who throw them should be ignored if they cannot be removed.

And IF/WHEN the person throwing the tantrum wants to change the rules to make sure THEY "cannot be removed"...

When does a person stop ignoring them?

Is ignoring them (and letting them have THEIR WAY ) rewarding them?

Just heard the term "crazytown" in reference to thew White House.

BBC has material from Woodward's book.

"Bob Woodward's book on Trump: The most explosive quotes", and they are. Fun reading for late night comic fans. Not so much for lovers of the system that gave Trump to the world.
Well, not my government.

This will serve as a reply to both your posts,

and to all future from you on church-state relations. My Woodward to your Trump, so to speak.
First, it has been your claim only that we "wonder and complain ....that governments reject the JW's."
Like a Trump tweet, it substitutes your wishful thinking for fact, in an attempt to co-opt the discussion. We don't wonder, because it has been that way since Adam rejected Jehovah's governance. Down to this day all but the eight-million-plus of us do the same - man's governments reject the JW's, and our God Jehovah, and his appointed king Jesus. The results of that are apparent in your daily paper.
Second, we don't complain. Why should we? We're the ones whose leader speaks with "a still, small voice", who 'leadeth us beside the still waters', whose appointed King does "not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street". No noise of demons. The complaining is done on your op-ed pages.
As you know with your mind but deny by your inaction, the "words of Christ" are that "this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations". God's Kingdom; to all nations. As we do.
As you know with your mind but deny by your inaction, "then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, 'We ought to obey God rather than men.'" They said this to those who were nominally their spiritual and secular leaders. As we do.
Works for us.

so long as you live here

This, is your government. Bible also says you have certain responsibilities with regard to it. If you deny that, then you deny the words of Christ and the Apostles.
