Hi Karl,

Are you referring to Panda Antivirus Platinum and Panda Antivirus Titanium http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/home_users.asp ? Or you are referring to their free online Panda ActiveScan http://www.pandasoftware.es/activescan/activescan-com.asp ?

The Panda ActiveScan will not protect your system because it is not installed in your system. You need to install the antivirus program. The Panda ActiveScan is a free online scan only that will scan your system and clean the viruses (if any is detected) but not will not protect from email viruses while you are receiving email, will not protect from other malicious code while you are installing software or downloading files from the internet, will not protect your system for any incoming and outgoing files.

Do you need an antivirus program? If yes, there are free Antivirus that will protect your system from virus, trojans, worms and other malwares Happy

AVG - http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php
Antivir - http://www.free-av.com/
Avast! - http://www.avast.com/i_idt_153.html
eTrust - www.my-etrust.com/microsoft/ (antivirus program and firewall with one or 2 years of free subscription. Offer is valid until June 30, 2004)
