Question

Panasonic wireless headset needed

I would like to purchase a simple (no interest in stereo) wireless headset for a Panasonic TV model TC-L37U3 made in 11/2010. Neither Panasonic or the Shack can assist. The only requirement in no sound from the TV in the room and sound control from the remote. My son won't listen to my programs. Therefore, the set is useless to me unless I can locate such a unit or modify something that is available.
Thanks

Answer
Seems to be a simple thing.

Any decent technician can install a jack on the TV that you plug some transmitter part of the headphone into and then you are done.

You are right that Radio Shack or other makers will have nothing to do with this. It's something your first year electronics college student should be able to do for you. Figure at most about 200 bucks.

Great thought, but I am new in Cambridge, MA. Am not acquainted with any electronics students. I guess my age is also against me, just turned 75.

I recently moved away from

Marlborough, MA and there were still TV repair shops there when I left. While I had no need of their services, they should be able to get the work done or if it's a matter of adapters, cables and settings, they should be able to sort it out.

Thanks! I'll head over to Marlborough at first opportunity.
