Panasonic vs Pioneer

Sep 19, 2008 11:27AM PDT

I cannot decide on these two plasmas, the Panasonic PV50800U and the Pioneer 5010 for my family room, which has a fair amount of light. Also which would be a better set for watching sports? The prices of each are comparable considering that it is last years Pioneer model. Does anybody have any preferences?
Thanks!

Hi,
I just bought the Pioneer LX508A.
Its superb. If money is not an issue then I'd recommend the Pioneer.I think its fairly recognised as the best (if cost is not a factor).

I am leaning towards the Pioneer 5010. There are display models for sale in the $2300
range which I think is a good price. I was hoping to keep the price in the $2000I believe the reflective screen is better than the rest and of course the blacks are also the best.
