Panasonic Viera TC-L47ET5 problem

Feb 15, 2014 3:13AM PST

Hello there... just looking for some insight. My tv has started to act goofy. Powers on fine, but the screen has thin white lines all over it, and the screen fades in and out to almost white. Sound is fine, but what ever is playing lags and the screen fades in and out. Any ideas? Easy, cheap fix, or should I chunk it? Thanks in advance!!!

I am now having the exact same problem that Candyman 30 described. We're you able to figure out what the problem is. My TV is only 2 - 3 years old and I paid almost 1 thousand for it. It should not be broken already!

Same Problem

My tc-47et5 is doing the same thing. The tv repair folks tried replacing the mainboard, with no effect. They said they talked to a technician at Panasonic who told them he'd never heard of a problem like that. They now say "it must the the display", which means the tv is not worth fixing. No more panasonics for me.
