Panasonic TXL37S20BA Recording Issues!!

I have recently purchased a Panasonic TXL37S20BA tv. Im using the built in freeview and I have connected a dvd/hdd recorder to it with a scart lead. I can record a programme thats currently on but as soon as I turn the tv off (standby) it affects the recording and when I play it back its just a blank screen. Could you tell me how to fix this? Is there something I haven't done right? its doing my head in as i have tried all i can think of

Sounds defective?

While we know we can't record HD content your issue sounds like a product defect. Call it in and ask for support, repair, replacement, and if they can't fix it, ask for the refund.

i seem to fixed it now with the help of a mixture of peoples input. thanks for your response. It was a couple of things that wern't done right

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
