When download is clicked, it never opens. And when I called for support, I was told to make a StartUp disk from any computer that has W98SE installed and use that disk, and I did. It will load, but when computer restarts, it will not open, and goes into Safe Mode option. When Safe Mode is activated, it just goes into a run-around, and never opens.
I make them from a download from http://www.bootdisk.com
As to "When download is clicked, it never opens", your post neglects to tell what site this happens at.
In short, if one tosses out the recovery disk and the machine gets "old", we face the need to find a plain Windows 98 or your selected OS CD, then collect drivers and do the install the old fashioned way.
I did see a few recovery CDs offered on Ebay, but that's up to you to decide to go that route.
REPAIR of Windows 98 is possible, most of the time if you have a Windows 98 CD. And drivers are at the Panasonic web site (if you can reach it.)

Hi, I'm just wondering if you found the recovery cd. I have a panasonic toughbook cf-45 and the recovery cd.
Hello, I am in a fix, and I wondered if you could help me?
I have a Panasonic Toughbook, model cf-45,and I can't get past an error message that wont let me go any further
with out using the recovery cd that came with the computer.
Unfortunately I purchased it used and did not get a cd.
And when I called panasonic they told me they do not have them and do not sell them.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!
I was wondering if you still have your cd, if you could burn me one,
I would pay you a reasonable shipping and handling charge.
Thank You R Will rwill53@juno.com
Help! My Toughbook was working fine until about a week ago. Then something happened to it and I don't know what. I've tried all the suggestions posted so far with no results. When I boot I get "No operating system or Non-system disk".
Also I cannot get the C: drive to be recognized and cannot get the CD drive to be recognized. I was give the C-45 about a year ago when a friend bought Dell laptop. The C-45 is good enough for what I want as of now. When I get enough money together I plan on getting a new laptop.
I would appreciate any help that will resolve the problem.
Thanks,
Wharlon
