Panasonic TH-42PX60U - Picture Concern

by mikefromboston / August 13, 2006 7:16 PM PDT

When watching Standard DVD titles, I noticed flickers in scene background. For ex, if there are trees in the background and when the wind is blowing the leaves of the trees, the display of the leaves appears with lots of flickers. Another example is when the character wears some striped Shirt and on motion the stripes on the shirts flicker. This occurs very frequently and I am very much concerned about it. Please let me know what could be the root cause ? Is it caused by Noise Reduction or screen burn protection function or something else ?

Also I would like to know which series offers a better picture (50U or 60U series) ?

I have hooked-up via Component Cable feeding basic 480i signal. Switching to progressive scan makes the image appear soft. Please help.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
