Panasonic TH-42PHD7UY Scaling?

Aug 4, 2005 11:18AM PDT

This TH-42PHD7UY seems all but perfect! I was about to buy it, when someone told me that it does not scale the picutures, ie. If you watch something with a signal that is not the same as its native resolution, like a larger HD signal or a smaller TV signal, it will not be able to scale it to size, and will end up cutting off the picture or distorting it. This seems kind of absurd... Has anyone had any experiances with this? Please enlighten me.
