It is no worse than someone buying a $100,000 automobile for everyday driving. You probably won't get the most out of the equipment, but it's your money, and as long as you enjoy it, that's all that counts.
I just received my Panasonic AG HMC 150 - just taking it out of the box and reading a few pages on the instruction guide, thisis truly a professional camcorder.
However, I am not a professional and will use the camera to take alot of video of my infant grandsons.
This camcorder has so much buttons, I am just going point and shoot.
Just like your opinion - Was it okay for me to buy this expensive camera just to shoot family videos?
