Panasonic Plasma At Costco

Nov 5, 2005 2:43PM PST

My local Costco has a Panasonic HDTV, model TH42-PM-504, for $1699.00. The model numbers don't fit anything on the web. This is the second time I've seen a Panasonic plasma at Costco with no mainstream way to research what it is. It is not an EDTV? Thoughts please.

This model is not a HDTV set. This is a EDTV set with no Tuner. It does have speakers built in. This info was not easy to find on the box, but it was there. Also at my local store it had a large sticker on the set that said "this is a EDTV set" Too bad, it would have been in the back of my truck.

Panasonic and Pioneer Plasma at Costco

Thanks, it was to good to be true and it does make sense it's an EDTV. Now I need to look at the Pioneer PDP-4214 for $2699 and find out why that orice is so low.

I'd welcome your detective work.

I'm having a problem with a P:anasonic TV I bought at Costco, model number TH-PM42(50U?), not found anywhere online, and it has no ;place to connect my co-ax cable to. Is there something wrong with the TV?
