Panasonic Palmcorder VDR-M30PP - Help finalilzing cds

Feb 21, 2011 3:38AM PST

I have a bunch of dvds taken on the above palmcorder that were never finalized. Now I have the common error message 2881 and sent the palmcorder to Panasonic to be fixed for the tune of $480. I was willing to pay it because I've been told that you have to finalize the dvds on the unit that they were recorded on. I just called the Panasonic repair people who have had the unit for three months and was told they can't get the parts to fix it and will send it back.

So, I'm desperately seeking any help that anyone can offer as to how I can get access to the dvds. Is there a service out there that someone knows about? Anything. They're of my kids over the last five years and it's killing me to think I have lost them.

Thanks.

New Idea

I see some of this kind of older palmcorder on Amazon, but was told that the dvds have to be finalized on the same unit that they were recorded on. Do you think that's not so?

Tell me more about ISOBUSTER. I've never heard of that. Thanks for replying.

I must have found the wrong model on amazon.com. For years I've finalized on the same model. It's the best I can do.

ISOBUSTER is found with google.com It's been used by members before to get files off such media. Try it again.
