Sep 7, 2015 6:27PM PDT

I have a friend that has offered to sell me one of his old cameras. He is offering both for the same price. Which one is better. I have no knowledge about cameras, any recommendations are appreciated.

The GF3 is an interchangeable lens camera. i.e. capable of using many different and separate lenses. Whereas the L320 is a fixed lens camera. i.e. there is one lens that is permanently attached and cannot be changed.

Also, the GF3's (four thirds) sensor is several times larger than the L320's (1/2.3") sensor. (You can almost fit eight 1/2.3" sensors inside one Four Thirds sensor.)

Which is better for you depends on:

a) what you plan to take pictures of
b) which lenses (if any) your friend is giving you with the GF3 (and your budget to buy additional lenses, if needed)

GF3 VS L320

a) I plan on taking pictures from a mountain, basically landscapes.
b) I GF3 does not have any lenses , I would be able to spend about 50-60$ on a lens.

"50-60$ on a lens" won't get you much, even used. You'll be much better off with the L320.
