General discussion

Panasonic Industrial Plasma 50"

Oct 14, 2005 1:16AM PDT

Any drawbacks?

My concern is that I can hook up:

DVD
Computer
Theatre Sound System
HDTV
TIVO
Direct TV

Can I do this with any of the Panasonic industrials and if so which one? My concern is that people they they are great but are "bare bones".

I just purchased one (this year's model - the 8UK) and am quite pleased so far.

Without adding interface modules, you can make the following connections:

-Composite (need BNC adaptors)
-S-video or component (mutually exclusive)
-PC monitor

You can use any two of the above for your PIP sources.

I am still using my existing non-HD tuning sources which are routed through a home theater receiver, but am in the process of building a PC-based tuner/DVR/DVD solution, as indicated here:
