It really depends what you're looking for and what is important to you. Not knowing that, it's hard to advise. However, if you search for reviews for those online, hopefully you'll get an idea of their various pros and cons.

After a lot of tests with both cameras, I finally bought the Panasonic TM-700 which is an incredible camera ! I love it !!!! You will not regret purchasing a Panasonic TM-700 ! Amazing video qualtity, very clear video, unique 1080/60frames recording mode !

Do you like the Panasonic TM-700?

Hi. I'm also looking at the Pansonic TM700 and also the Sony XR 550V. I'm looking for a camcorder that has a good viewfinder (a must) though I might go with mini dv instead of a HDD. Also looking at the Panasonic HS 700. Thanks for any advice you might have.
