In case it isn't clear. My budget is not 500 dollars if it doesn't need to be. I would MUCH rather pay a lower amount of money if it is going to be good enough video quality in comparison. All the bells and whistles will most likely be ignored by me, as I don't really get into it. (Have a $400 camera that I have never did anything with but "AUTO")

So I am an average guy with average needs. Our daughter is 21 months now and she is starting to do alot more "cuter" things like dancing around and stuff that a camera just isnt going to capture well. I have a nice camera, but video is sub par.
So after just doing some intitial searching for best home camera use, I came up with the SD60. The reviews are fantastic. As I'm lining it up to see how much all my total is going to be, i notice the "there is a newer camera than this model".
After clicking it and seeing a $180 price drop, I am now kinda cornered on what I should really do.
Couple of things about me. I will never make professional videos nor do I plan on making anything professionally like movies and stuff.
I plan on taking vids of my family, vacations, etc and putting them on dvd's to keep for looking back one day.
Now I do want good quality, so I'm not saying I want total crap. But I don't want to pay 180 extra if I don't need to.
Any suggestions here?
