Panasonic GS500, about to commit...

Nov 1, 2007 11:32AM PDT

Okay I am finally about to buy a GS500. I want MiniDV and not HDD because of reliability. Also it has a hotshoe and mic port which is awesome. And as with any $700 investment, you have to be skeptical. Are there any big loop holes or catches I'm missing out on that I am going to be disappointed about when I receive the camera?

Spend $100 more and you get a newer, HD camera with great quality video and 24p recording. That's my opinion.
