The digitalcamerainfo site is doing a type of review that is partly highly technical and mostly subjective.
They are putting all digital cameras in a barrel and then trying to rank them (high to low).
This always results in the most expensive cameras being near the top and the lower priced cameras at the bottom. The more features a camera has, the higher it will rank.
The review leaves out many important factors that have to do with getting good clear photos. Such as what settings the camera chooses under certain conditions.
Example: The Sony W7 is rated high, but it has a problem with selecting a slow shutter speed in low light, which results in blurred photos in low light situations. It also has an over aggressive noise reduction, resulting in "flat" photos.
The test of color accuracy is interesting but should not be taken as a reason to reject a camera. They only weigh it at about 2.5 % of the whole review.
If you are going to judge photos, it should be with the human eye.
Here are sample photos from each camera:

Don't judge photos by using technical reports.
Let your eyes judge color, picture quality, sharpness,
light, shadow.

Which camera gives the best picture quality? I went to digitalcamerainfo.com and from what I read, the Minolta's color scheme was 6.34 and the Panasonic 9.66. Am I correct to assume that means that the Panasonic takes better pictures? Also the Minolta mean saturation was 93.91% while the Panasonic was 106%. Please help me or lead me to a site that can hellp me make a decision on which camera to buy. I even have read about the canon S1 1S but could not find any optical zoom listing for this camera. Thanks in advance for all your help. Jen
