Question

Panasonic DMR-PWT550

I have recently updated my dvd recorder to a new Panasonic blu-ray/hdd recorder.
I am trying to connect the Sky-box to it ,so i can record what is on sky as well as viewing it on the tv.
Problem is that the recorder only has one HDMI output , whereas i need two. Any suggestions please?. On my old recorder i used to connect the skybox to the recorder via a start lead.
Thank you.

What about splitters and switches.

May not be as convenient but if I have 2 things that need to go to 1 thing I use the usual HDMI switch box.

Bob is correct. Try this for starters

The 'pass through' functionality you used to enjoy is usually SOL with the new recorders as such.
And then there's HDMI to deal with too...

Try this instead. It requires you to test a matrix HDMI splitter. Might not work but worth testing IMNSHO. I assume you are not dealing with any SCART connections(?)

Skybox (HDMI out) --> (HDMI in) 1x2 matrix splitter

1x2 matrix splitter (HDMI out) --> (HDMI in) Panasonic
