Electronic products for a long time no use will come to the phenomenon of aging!Your battery may have gone bad, so the camera can not open!
Hi, I'm new here to the forum.
I have a Panasonic HDC-SD60K that I have had for sometime now (Since 2010 I believe) and it had not been having any issues at all up until early this year.
What is happening, is that it's completely dead! I charged the battery (Red light no longer turns on when it's being charged) but I'm doubtful that it's the battery itself. I say this because it had been fully charged the day it completely became unresponsive. And, also, when it shut off, I had mounted it on a tripod. Almost instantaneously after mounting, it shut off. Even the lens shutter had not closed!
I have been bummed ever since, I was using it almost everyday, not to mention it was upwards 300 dollars when it was purchased new.
I'm hoping someone out there can tell me exactly what is happening, and whether or not it's worth repairing (hopefully not as much, or more than the camera is worth) or if there is a possibility of me fixing it. (I'm thinking unlikely)
Thank you for taking the time to read. Any help at all is much appreciated! ![]()
