PANASONIC Blu Ray Player DMP-BD605

by GEOMILO / July 6, 2010 8:01 AM PDT

My unit is almost 12 months old and just now having problems with 2 discs from Universal Studios- Sparacus and Its Complicated. It takes forever for it to read the discs and when I finally get Menu page on screen and hit play, nothing happens. Other Blu Rays discs from other studios seem to play ok. Any thoughts or similar problems/solutions? Also, unit is not connected to the internet and when I went to Panny's site and tried to download update to CD-R,it failed to do so.Thanks

Are you saving the update as an image too the CD-R, if not, it will not do the update.

You download the update too your computer then unzip it, then save as IMG to the CD.

Another option get a cat5 cable just for updates & run the update via the player.
If you do not have highspeed Internet you can also call panny to have them send you a disk free.

Thanks. I will try this for download/update to see if that remedies problem with Universal Studios Blu Ray discs.
