No tech I know will stack their reputation without a visit and most will want to swap boards to find which one.
I don't know all the details but this sounds like the board with the HDMI ports on it. Even if you had to replace 2 boards you bet the repair by over 300 bucks.
I have a Panasonic 58'' Viera TV model number TH-58PZ700U that after a thunderstorm started having issue. I can turn it on and the TV shows the main menu and options in the TV using the remote control. However there is no image at all. When it is connected to the cable box the screen is black, but still can see the TV main menu and option using the remote control. When connect to other devices like Wii or AppleTV, the TV shows a green screen with thin horizontal black stripes. I was told a board must be replaced or fixed and the person wants to charge $400 but he doesn't want to tell me which board is bad. Most of the board cost $40 or less. Any idea how to find out which board is bad?
