Pan AG-DVC30 vs. Canon GL2

by dressner / April 8, 2007 12:01 PM PDT

Pan AG-DVC30 vs. Canon GL2- what are your opinions on these cameras?

I like the 3CCD of the panasonic, but it doesn't have XLR audio. The GL2 does.

So, what would you recommend for an amateur videographer looking to start making videos of weddings and other events? Thanks.

has three 1/4" CCDs, too...

I see Canon GL2 cameras... the Panasonics I see are the DVX100 or the HVX200... but not many AG-DVC-30 or AG-DVC60 cameras...

are thinking of the XL2, which does have XLR, or do you have an audio specification of some kind in mind?
