Palm TX initial set, trouble w/ Documents To Go sync? HELP!

by limey_swindon / December 30, 2006 6:50 AM PST

During initial setup and sync, everything seemed to work fine except for the Documents To Go, and received the following error log message "
Documents To Go Message(s)
Error accessing Documents To Go user information.
You must first open the Documents To Go desktop application, select the appropriate handheld user, and synchronize again.
Error accessing Documents To Go database"

searched the net, someone had the same error and used a CCleaner program and this took care of his problem, downloaded and ran this program but i still get the same error log as above. can anyone help correct this problem? thanks in advance...limey

"You must first open the Documents To Go desktop application, select the appropriate handheld user, and synchronize again."

I don't read where you have completed the step above.

In reply to: Did you???

hi bob and thanks for the reply. i don't want to act stupid, but i must be, i'm not for sure what the "You must first open the Documents To Go desktop application, select the appropriate handheld user, and synchronize again." meant? is it talking about the desktop on the tx, i opened the documents application but could not find anything that refered to "select handheld user". can you guide me through the steps? thanks...limey

Click Start, Programs, Documents To Go, Documents To Go.

I think you'll get it now.

Now That Was Way Too Easy

Thanks Bob, I did not even know that it had put that application under Programs! It looks as if I got some studying to do (after I download all the PDF user guides), i'm on a dial up, and it takes a while. This is the first PDA i've owned, and I almost boxed it up and took it back, but maybe after a good nights sleep, i'll reconsider, ha ha. You don't have a recomendation for a good case do you? I've searched the net for reviews and came up with PDair, Sena, Piel Framma, some being a little on the pricey side, but I want a case that will afford protection, but still able to use the PDA correctly. Anyway thanks for you help, i'm off to figure out how to download photos. Regards....Limey

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
