Paint Shop Pro X

Aug 15, 2005 4:01PM PDT

Corel is releasing Paint Shop Pro X in early September but I haven't seen any Beta releases or editor reviews ! Since their all ready offering pre - upgrade orders - I was wondering if anyone had any insite on the new release. - Such as some kind of editors or magazine or CNRT preview ? Jasc always offered beta editions so this would be the first upgrade that I'd bought of PSP with out some kind of over all evaluation of the upgrade !

Google.com should have a good discussion and articles for you. One question for you. Does Paint Shop Pro change tiff files and batch convert them? What is the procedure?
There is a discussion about this on the Graphic's Forum recently. Check it out.

I really don't see much any where on PSP X but a few forum post like mine and some subjectures about the program ! I may wait to upgrade since a lot of the emphasis on the upgrade is with photo processing and not graphics. I get tons of compliments on my photo repairs with PSP9 and have even done quite a few repairs for some professional female models so upgrading because of the new photo fix feature or for batch or raw conversion processing is certainly not a mandate.
I was kind of hoping Corel would maybe intergrate some 3D features in the program and add some of their own filters and manifest the program into a true professional buisness structured program for web designers ! Inserting Bryce as a free perk would have been pretty cool- lol - Hearts and flowers and buttons are pretty cool I guess but their really not the kind of graphical content I'm looking for when I'm looking to design and create graphics. Do I want to see the PSP upgrades go to about 100 dollars and only launch every few years ? Of course ! As long as they begin setting a standard with in the program to compare with Adobe by adding the same kind of graphical content and features instead of just creating the hype of doing so. I understand the interface is about the same in the program which is really one of the greatest over all features of the program in my opinion. In fairness Corel did their own review of the program - which is located here.

For those with SLR cameras - They have a new feature that allows the program to run up to 50 percent faster. That may be worth the upgrade price alone if .....................................
I apologize to CNET for the mis-spelling in my original post.
Best Wishes !

RGuy1, Good info for paint Shop Pro users. Good link also.
Have another question for you. Our company may be adopting Adobe InDesign starting the first of the year. Does InDesign support Corel Draw files and Paint Shop Pro files??

?Time is the best teacher, unfortunately it kills all of its students.?
Kind of a nice quote from you.
Somewhere from the USA, Profile. Neat.
Nothing wrong with listing where you live. Alaska?
Neat also. Send me a link to salmon fishing.
Just kidding,

Im close to two trophy lakes - One is Cave Run Lake which holds Muskie tournaments for up to ten thousand dollars + and Cumberland Lake which holds professional Walley and Stripper Tournaments. Lake record Striper is around 58.25 pounds last time I checked. The only Salmon we see is in the supermarkets for 7.99 LB. lol
