Page Size Setting Problem Epson 1400 Printer

Sep 17, 2007 4:04AM PDT

System is Windows XP/SP2, Application MS Publisher 2003.
The Epson Stylus Photo 1400 printer is new to me. When I try to print larger sizes, such as 11x17, the printer always seems to want go to 8 1/2 x11. I have set the page size in the application, on the printer set up, etc. My print preview shows it correctly, but when I hit the Print button, the printer driver screen that flashes up shows it is set at 8 1/2x 11. I would really appreciate any help on this I can get.

I'll skip mentioning new drivers from Epson.com but ask "What prints out?"

page size setting issue

I'll second the original post in this thread...I'm runing XP/Photoshop CS2 with the Epson 1400. Up until this point, I've only printed on 8.5 x 11" paper. Tonight I attempted to print on 13 x 19" paper (yes I changed my image size in photoshop to 12 x 18" and yes the appropriate paper type/size was chosen under th print command--Super B 13 x 19in) but the print kept coming out as if sized for an 8.5 x 11" paper.

Can anyone help me out here? Thanks.

I got the same problem
I spent my afternoon on it
If you check the BORDERLESS box in the epson 1400 preference
and put border with photoshop (ex percent button )you can print in any size you want !

I don't know if anyone still uses this printer...but i had the same problem with Publisher 2003 reverting borderless back to 8.5"x11" basicly...go to:

File>Page setup and get everything prepped including selecting print preview
File>Print Preview should look right
File>Print and DO NOT click on Properties to double check setting, this will take you back to 8.5"x11"
hit Ok and the print driver print preview will pop up and all should be well. If you clicked on properties in the last step, the print preview will show you 8.5"x11 instead of 11x17 or what ever borderless setting you are aiming for.

the only drawback is...it will zoom into you picture just a little so make sure you don't have anything important close to the edge...
