I cannot figure out how to get the page numbering system to work.
I went to insert-page numbers. When I clicked on the page numbers at the bottom it said "Save selection as page number (bottom). It says the same thing in the "Headers and Footers" section.
Any idea how to make this work?

I really need help on this. It is for an assignment due Monday and I really don't want to hand write the number on 60 pages
Don't mind what Word SAYS, the most important is what is DOES? And you don't tell that.
In older versions of Word, a page number is a just a field that you can copy, paste and drag arond to whereever you want. Or you could use Insert>Field (in stead of Insert>Page number) and select the page number field. But I don't know for Word 2007.

I can't see where or what the issue is yet. I lucked out and saw 2007 a few days ago and page numbering works the same as prior versions. But that doesn't tell me what your issue is yet.
