P4HT power

i just bought a P4HT (3.0g)800fsb... im upgrade from a p3 800mhz (long time coming)

do i need to buy a new power supply?

This CPU is about 100 Watts at full tilt plus the motherboard will need the AT12V connector. Is the power supply big enough for what you'll put in the box plus some spare 50 to 100 Watts on top of that?

Is that all you brought? mtrbd? Anyways, you'll need more wattage, plain and simple. 400W+ or more is preferred and look for a namebrand like Enermax or Antec, manybe Vantech(sp) as well. Newer stuff sucks power and weird/flaky stuff happens if not found. Prolonged usage with an underpowered system can cause or drag down other componets if stressed too much, good insurance get a larger p/s unit.
