Lockedge,
Just a thought here....
Because the standard uninstall may not be removing the "patchw32.dll" file, try uninstalling the program, then rename the "patchw32.dll" file to "patchw32.old". Then reinstall the program.
Hope this helps.

I've recently bought NHL 2004, and I made the foolish mistake of downloading one of their patches, but not updating my patchw32.dll file. Since I've been through everything but this file, I figure this is the case my NHL 2004 won't work anymore.
My problem is, the patchw32.dll file on my PC is newer than the one EA needs me to download. I'm wondering whether I have to forfeit my hockey game forever and wait until 2005 comes along, or if I can safely overwrite the file.
Note that I've completely erased NHL2004 from the registry before, and then completely reinstalled it, all safely as well, and it still didn't work, so I'm guessing the patch is split into two parts and it needs this one to work. :S
Thanks for your time.
And BTW, the game worked before I got the patch perfectly.
