[insert image = URL?? it is my screen snip. How attach??]

I have snip of info about a driver that updated by itself last night. Last Win 10 Update was 3 days ago.

Last night as usual: left HDMI set to TV. Powered off [brand new 43" Polaroid] TV left Dell Inspirion [brand new] win10 to go to sleep. Same as the last week since getting TV.

This AM: push key stays black, push key again get screen. Desktop image up[normal size!!]. Taskbar up [with big button that makes icons disappear?]. Shortcuts gone. Tried DVD in VLC. Ended up grabbing it from way off the left side of screen -is huge!. Turned on TV and correct PC screen is up. [but not the dvd image]. Disconnected HDMI and got correct screen back on PC but too big: all shortcuts reordered and they are bigger. [temporarily fixed] Opened Chrome its display is too big. Facebook shows one column 2/3 the size of screen. Tried ZOOM down to 80% = right size but distorted. Back to 100%. Device manager-> display->driver. This is the one that messed with itself [Ithink]. tried download new driver = you have what you need, go away.
A) If I have 2 displays[PC plus HDMI] Win 10 keeps me from finding out. It seems like I have either/or and not share one image out B) why is it all too big. Screen resolution changes look terrible, it is where it should be C) the desktop image is _not_ too big. Over sized shortcuts jammed together within screen edge limits!

Most info I find is about Screen resolution or screen size big over all and much is off edges of screen.  Neither one is any good for this. [Shortcut icons _were_ off screen at first, though]

I think it is the driver - I wish I could attach the snip - that Win 10 will not let me replace.  I mean, if I deleted it I would not have any screen to use to reload it - correct?

Re: driver issues

Two things to do:
1. Set Windows Update to never install drivers (just in case it did now, although that isn't sure). Google how to do that.
2. Driver rollback from Device Manager.

I suspect you may need them again when the next update comes out.
