Overclocking

So I have a EVGA 1080ti and when I overclock anything past +40 and +100 and the memory my pc freezes after a couple minutes, am I doing anything wrong?
I use msi afterburner to overclock

Anytime you OC you get into what's called the silicone lottery.

Folks on these boards don't much get into OCing.

So you might be better off finding an overclocker's forum and posting there.
