Question

Outputting video from Asante Voyager II camera

Sep 12, 2011 3:26AM PDT

I am trying to output video from an Asante Voyager II network camera to a video switcher. The camera comes with an "AV Y cable" that goes from the camera to a red 3.5mm port and a green 3.5 mm port. The inputs on the video switcher are coax. I tried using a few converters (from 3.5 mm to 1/4" to a yellow RCA cable to coax), but still get not signal on the video switcher.

Any ideas on how I can make this work? Thanks.

Answer
Looked at the manual.

And slim as it was, I found no video signal output.

Looks like a dead end. This appears to be a network camera that you view with a PC.

It is referenced in the manual

Thanks for the reply. You must have looked at the wrong manual.

Sounds incorrect here.

Thanks for that manual. Yellow and White are almost always Video and Audio. While green and red typically are for power.

Sorry but if they ship a bum cable, all bets are off.
