Do You Have Java Installed?
Jun 26, 2007 12:46AM PDT

Please follow the instructions in the link below install the most recent version of Sun Java:

Click on the link to Sun's Java below, then click on the ''Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u1'' download button. Follow the prompts, accept the license agreement, then download the full ''Windows Offline Installation'' file to your desktop,(about 15 MB), scan it with your antivirus (just to be sure it's clean). Once that's done, if you've already got a Sun Java version on the computer, (It appears like you may not though) open the Control Panel, double click on the ''Add/Remove Programs'' section, then uninstall all previous versions of the J2SE Java listed there. Once that's done, then install Java JRE 6u1 from the downloaded installer.

http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp

After everything is installed, then open the Control Panel, double click on the ''Internet Options'' icon, then click on the ''Advanced'' tab. When that loads, scroll down to the ''Java(Sun)'' section and make sure there is a CHECK mark next to: ''Use JRE 1.6.0....''. Click on Apply. Then scroll to the ''Multimedia'' section and place a CHECK mark in the ''Play Sounds In Web Pages'', ''Play videos in Web Pages'', & ''Show pictures'' box and UNCHECK the box next to ''Show download Placeholders:'', then click on Apply, then Ok. Then click on the ''Security'' tab in ''Internet Options''. Once that opens, click on the ''Internet'' icon (the World globe), then click on the ''Custom Level'' button. When that loads, make sure the ''Reset to'' line says: ''Medium'', then click on the ''Reset'' button, then select ''Yes/OK''. It asks: ''Are you sure?''.

Hope this helps.

Outlook Web Access and Windows Mail

I have the same problem that you have, except my computer doesn't reboot, I just cannot answer any email. I have Windows Vista without the outlook, instead I have Windows mail. I am going to try that Java suggestion. Hope it works for us both.
