Outlook - Two Email Different Options

Jan 3, 2011 2:54AM PST

Hi all

Is there a way in outlook 2007 to have one email send and receive emails automatically and then another email to just receive emails when I click to receive them and just send automatically.

Thanks.

I can do this in Thunderbird

so I would imagine it is possible in Outlook.

Check the "Account options" for each email account. You're looking for something that says similar to, "Check mail at startup", and "Check for mail every 10 minutes".

You can then decide what to do with those settings.

Hope that helps.

IT IS POSSIBLE

Found it, thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Turns out you have to go to Tools > Options > Then choose the tab "Mail Setup" > From there go to "Send/Receive" > Now play with the settings there, you can add groups, schedule to send only, receive only or both for all the accounts or for each individually.

Thanks

Glad you found it

Different email clients have these settings in different places, so good work in finding those on yours.
